I'm frustrated, this morning it was on the backorder list. Dealer called them and he let me know the status upgraded this afternoon to ship this week. I'm not sure I believe it though

That’s what I was told about my Blast. It upgraded to CNBD. Can not be delivered

Wonder if they're running into part supply issues? I've heard of sleds shipping without front bumpers to be delivered later, and another brand trying to ship sleds to dealers without skid shocks because the supplier was behind.

Wait...your blast? or your venom? Delivered? or CNBD? You've got me a little confused here as to your status.

Mine finally arrived at the dealer yesterday, picked it up tonight. Calling for 18 inches here in pa tomorrow so should get to rip it around a little this week! Not going to lie, it's a little heavier than I thought it would be but I still believe it will fit the bill nicely. Found a spot to bolt on some secret extra hp too

My best estimate 1 gallon of gas or less, oil light is flashing and it's a cheap Chinese scale so I'd give a little margin for error.

Sled 462lb
Battery 14.4lb
Muffler 18.8lb

I love it! The weight made me choke tho. My Venom is sitting on the dealership floor right now. Owner asked if he could show it off for a few days. Maiden voyage should be this weekend!

Reeb, in an earlier post I believe you said you had bumpers picked out already. What are my front bumper options for this thing? Will any ascender bumper fit?

That weight SEEMS like alot... but reality is, its BASICALLY a full size sled minus a cylinder.

I wasn't expecting a number that high. Especially with a single layer tunnel and shorter track. Just quick thinking:
462lb
- 6.5lb (1 gallon gas)
- 10lb (antifreeze)
- 20lb (remove e-start)
- 15lb (Ti can)
= 410.5lb dry.
36" a-arms, aluminum body float shocks, and -5lb if it's got the old heavy gas tank and it's replaced should get a person to 400lb dry.

Thats similar or less than the 440 dry weight that was expected.
Still puts it lighter than its direct competitor.
Why dont you pull out the spec sheet from your owners packet and see what the listed dry weight is.

Ha hadn't even looked at the paperwork yet but there it is 429 dry. Lightweight Battery and muffler and you are knocking on 400.

Fun fact, battery is beside engine on these, not under the seat. Of course I figured that out after getting the torx head bolt that I swear was loctited and put on with an impact out.

So 429 lbs. Still heavier then my 800 sled hmmmm. Interesting. Well I guess we know why they didn't want to list the weight in the specs. Oh and they still don't on the website. Not sure I would have pulled the trigger to snowcheck one if I knew it would be a 430 lb sled. Looks like I am going to have to try to put it on a diet as well. Thanks for the info though on the weights of stuff. Definitely need to find some lighter parts.

@Cornfusion you are officially my favorite person in the world right now. You got one of these home and got it on a gosh darn scale!!!!!!

With that being said, it weighs pretty much exactly what I suspected it would weigh. Kinda disappointing as I was holding out hope for better, but fully expected, so not the end of the world.

That does, after all, make it the lightest electric start sled on the market right? I assume electric start on a 600 155 RMK weighs more than 15 pounds as an add-on?

looks like they used the heavy '12 era brake disc? bummer, im guessing steel shafts top n bottom too... lots of room for improvement.
still, great in-betweener, starter or kick-around sled, looks nicely built. thanks for sharing

Lol happy to do it. Filled it with oil and gas and it clocked 525lbs. Out of curiosity I hung his 03 340 edge fanner trail sled, full of fuel and oil, no electric start and it is 519lbs.

Put 6 miles on it around the farm a bit ago. Only 10 inches of snow and still in break in mode so can't say too much on it yet other than the shocks suck for a 200lb guy but otherwise my initial impression is I'm very happy I ordered one and can't wait to get jr on it tomorrow to see how he can handle it.

weight is just a number, lighter is better but how it handles and feels is much more important. the ascender chassis isnt the lightest but in my opinion is still the best on the snow.
