Yay for daylight saving time

I wasn't a fan the weekend that I lost an hour of sleep, but being able to sneak out after lunch and get into the backcountry is kinda nice.

7.3-mile approach, about an hour of bootpacking (with ascent plates), 700 feet of vertical...maybe not the most efficient way to get turns, but it was nice to get out (and get some data about snowpack, was wondering how baked things had gotten at elevation with our recent warm weather).

Nice. Colorado? Just getting into this, but also thinking that the longer daylight hours allow for some later in the day outings that wouldn't work in winter.

Montana. It's a short window with later light and still deep-enough snow for sled access to make sense, but it definitely opens up the options (especially since I coach ski racing on weekends).
