opel Active member Lifetime Membership May 22, 2011 #3 Flat and step,up to 24". I have used my brake lathe, but if there is a hard spot the lathe will chatter and not cut it clean. that is with the larger ammco lathe. nothing like a good didicated stone grinder! Thanks though
