Wisc non resident trail pass sales locations?

Can someone tell me if u can still purchase trail passes at gas stations or local business in wisc, it's been a few years since we rode up there, I heard u have to order them online now, just want to be prepared when we get there.

There are some gas stations that still sell DNR Licenses including Out of State Trail Passes. Be prepared as they raised them to 50 dollars in 2015. We as residents even have to pay 30 dollars now or 10 if you are in a club..nice huh!

If you go to Wisconsins DNR website they will be able to tell you locations near where you are staying that sell said licenses. Must have registration card with you sometimes to show the clerk as it has the registration number on it. It all depends on the site.

Also when you buy them at said DNR locations, Gas Stations or businesses you do NOT get a sticker. They mail those to your house and you get a Temporary receipt with your registration number of the sled and make of sled on it to show a DNR inspector on the trails if you get stopped.
