Had my sled diagnosed at the mechanic said it was the wiring harness sometimes theres spark and other times there isn't...does this happened in 2007 M8 often...now I got on babbit and I can get one for $415 how difficult is it to replace? Should I do it myself?
Also got a new primary clutch for my sled!!

Being a spark issue you should be able to fix it without a new harness. Ohm the wires and keep wiggleing wires until you fine the bad one. It will either be rubbing on something or broken inside the cover. Once you locate it replace the section. Sensor wires are different and splicing them changes the total resistance fed to the ecu.

Agreed...but sometimes easier said than done! Definatly worth a shot before chunking down $400+ for a new one

If it is in the plug you should be able to repair iit, if it is the pin in the ecu things get tougher. Before I shoot my mouth off I should go out and look at mine and see what type of connection they have. usually you can either replace the individual inserts or solder them in tight with a cheap pointed soldering iron. I'll get to my sled sometime this morning and see what can be done.

I took a look at mine and it doesn't look good for just fixing the plug. You could check with a computer repair shop or a radio shack, they may be able to repair it.

hey

I about pulled my hair out tracking down the electrical issues on my hcr, and finally found the problem today. My gauge wasn't working, and would only work if you wiggled the wire harness. I finally found a wire that had rubbed through right by the back of the airbox, just spliced it, and its back to normal. Tim
