Why no series 8 146?

I was just doing some snooping around and there isn't any 3.5 pitch 146-147 track options. Why doesn't Polaris offer a series 8 147 3.5 pitch option? The 155 is 5# lighter 2.6 vs 2.8.

I'd love a 3.5pitch 146. But I think they had to special order the current 2.6 146 track, its the first of its kind I believe. I know the 2.5 Peak and challenger have existed but both of those are heavier than the 2.6

I’m guessing because the series 8 folds over like a cheap lawn chair on any sort of firmer snow and that seems to be more of the target market for 146 sleds.

At least that’s a logical reason.

I’m thinking in reality it’s purely based on sales numbers.

Sell tons of 155-165’s.
Sell maybe 1/10 or 1/20th the number of 146 sleds.

Yeah I bought one for a back up/ low snow sled to mess around on do think the 2.75 folds over more than the 2.6 because I know the 2.6 is not good in set up snow.

I ordered mine with the 2.6 maybe I'll do the f-bomb track mod and shave the tips off and add some screws.

The 146 camo X 2.5 for 2.86 drivers can be had for ~$650 USD, is fully clipped, heavier than a 2.6 but will not fold over anywhere near as easy, and still gets around really well in pow, and is much better for setup snow. JPME. Maybe cut your 2.6 and have this as a pow/do everything track if you need it, or sell your 2.6 and get the 2.5. MSRP on the 146 2.6 is something like $1,050 USD.

2.75 will be better in set up snow because it's 3.5 pitch so it will still get a better bite than the 2.86
I thought the same till I owned a 2.75.

The wide spacing allows the paddle to bend over easier and the thing feels like an old series 5 2.4”.

Magic carpet in fluff but terrible on anything set up.

I love the track. And we get a lot of sugar snow. Just jumps up top and goes. Haven't rode it much on set up snow. I did almost wreck my boost on some slick stuff but nothing short of traction screws would have worked in that. I'd have an alpha track if they stamped it for a 2 rail skid. No one size fits all
