Which bumper for cut tunnel

Looking forward to my 2021 Khaos 165 showing up soon and already thinking about the mods!

Going to shorten the tunnel by 6-7" by cutting and re-welding in the stock cooler cross over. My question is this, does anyone have experience with what bumper fits nicely with a modified tunnel length. My hope is that the 165 tunnel cut down 6-7" will work well with a 155 bumper such as itek's bumper https://www.itekindustries.ca/en/bu...ear-2016_and_/tow_hitch-no/color-lime_squeeze

But I would hate to buy one and have it not fit. I really want a raised handle that fits close to the end of the tunnel, if the bumper extends well past the end of the tunnel then what's the point of cutting the tunnel IMO.

If anyone has tips on what bumper fits with X amount of tunnel cut i'd be curious to hear.

cheers.

……..
I cut 7" off my 2020 Pro 163". I bought and mounted the BMFab 163" rear bumper.

Cut the tunnel and bumper side plates simultaneously when the bumper plates were mounted. Then I went back and drilled new holes for the bumper cross piece. Worked perfect, looks original.

Do this^^^^^

If you use a 155 bumper there’s going to be some tunnel exposed below the bumper sides since the 165 tapers slower than the 155. (If that makes sense)

All very good info guys, thank you. I did not realize that the tunnels tapered differently from one length to another but that totally makes sense.. came across the VOHK rear bumper and really like the profile on it, might be the best I’ve seen yet

BM Fab, cut the ends of the side supports off to match the tunnel and bolt the handle on.

This is a 2021 165 khaos cut 7 1/4" inches and welded using the crracing tunnel cut "kit". Bumper is mounted as it was when the tunnel was stock. Trimmed the bumper after cutting the tunnel.
