Hi I'm new to the area. looking to ride anywhere in northern Montana. Live just north of the border near Crandston Alberta and looking for Alpine meadow or fire tree riding areas. Thanks:face-icon-small-coo

Go about 1.5 miles west of Marias Pass on U.S. 2, there is a wide parking area on the south side of the highway. The entrance to Skyland trail system there. There is trail riding, burn areas and and some open area riding and a warming hut about 12 miles in from the highway. You can explore all day !

Get a map of the area and figure out where you can and can't ride. The Great Bear Wilderness is there and we all know we cant ride there.

If you get in right after a big dump in can be a absolute blast, but a couple days of wind and its wind blown bad.. Little ways in there, play areas on the way.. Snow slip inn had some decent maps a few years back of the area..
