Living in Texas, 1000 miles to trail head, avg stay 9 days, make every minute count, 75 miles/day for me.

They have snow in Texas..? Really i did not know that. A good ride for me assuming nothing is broke is, 30 miles. Usually means 3'+ fresh snow and empty by noon. Thanks!
Dan

No snow in Texas, I usually go to Steamboat, Buena Vista, Grand Lake, Gunnison, or Hopewell Nm. 1000 miles to Steamboat.

Usually get about 8-9 hours in from the time we leave the snow park to the time we return and typically average 40 miles. It's pretty common to be one of the first few rigs in the parking lot and come back after almost everyone has already gone home!:D

Depends where I ride, but i consider a good day at 60-75 miles including trail. Thats burning the 11.5 gal tank and the 2 gal extra I bring. I already miss those days...

25 to 30 minutes from the house to the snow park, usually ride about 30 to 40 miles mostly boon docking and climbing. About 12 miles or so of that is on the trail. If we make a loop up to Elk Lake it will be more like a 60 to 70 mile day, just depends on the powder!

40-50 barring any break downs thats powder to slush
oh and i've only used my spare gas once that 11 pro gets some
good mpgs :face-icon-small-hap
these newer sleds you can go a long way if your just trailing
my buddy doesn't even bring spare gas on his XM

40-60miles per day depending on what we get ourselves into...
1200 miles one way in the truck to Ryan Park WY & 250 miles one way to Houghton MI. Those are pretty much the only place I ride. :face-icon-small-coo

We typically ride Grand Mesa, Colorado. 2 -3 hours riding in the morning, hit one of the lodges for lunch and a beer, another couple of hours in the afternoon and pack up. About 40 -50 miles average I'd say. That seems to be plenty - everyone's pretty much tired and happy by the end! Since I am local I don't know how you guys from out of state can ride multiple days in a row! Man, after a hard two day weekend, I have to go back to work to rest up. I couldn't imagine doing that for seven days straight!

So cool a snowmobiler from TX! I think an average as many have stated is about 30-40 miles in the mountains not counting the trail miles to get there.
Us flat landers can't ride too much in that thin air.
But then on the other hand here in northern MN and northern Ontario a 40 mile ride can be less than 30 minutes!:face-icon-small-dis
My longest day ride is 333 miles in northern MN. Not that easy when it's -25 and the day is as dark as the inside of a cow.:face-icon-small-coo

Mostly Michigan U.P. & Wisconsin Northwoods Ridin' &

average for us around here is 30-50 miles if a tank of fuel last that long:)

I measure my rides at fuel burned. 15 years ago I used to reset my trip meter each ride. The only time I do that now is after a major mod or engine work performed.

The all day 40 mile rubbing bark or multiple attempts of lines around the impossible is the benchmark now. Some of the 28-32 mile rides have been the best.
