I had one with the DG pipe way back when. Lots of heavy parts on them.

Very cool!

I'm currious how much more power these sleds made than the 433cc Yamaha motors?

440 Exciters and SS440s are all over the place for very inexpensive as well.

I had a mod phazer mod for my kid a few years ago that had flats slide 38 mm miks and a psi single pipe and a 136x1.75 track and a drop n rolled chain case. It worked well but the body panles and airbox were a pia.For a light sled there is a ton of weight that could come off. Pipe, seat and rear skid was super heavy.

this is my 86 Yamaha srv 540 with 144 track, motor piped ported, a lot of custom work. for a old sled its great for the powder.

I would love to do something similar to my yamaha ss440, I shoved a 540 in it. i was thinking of putting in a better skid and track on the ss, what skids can i use the would work and what tracks can on use on the ss

Brings back memories. I grew up on a '90 (I think) SRV and other older Yamahas. Got over 5400mi on it before we upgraded. Gotta love the pogo sticks.
Awesome builds, those are some good looking sleds. I've never been in this forum section but I just happened to see the heading when I was scrolling through.
