Hey there looking for info on if the wedge plastic and belly pan fits up with the gen2. Seen wedges with gen2 plastic so I assume it can be done? I tried searching but disnt come up with much. Anyone help me out here? Looking to build an old mod. I want wedge plastic and the newest chassis I can fit it on. Thanks

Bulkheads are the same between the 97-98 Wedge and the 99-01 Gen II.

However... 00-01 had tipped in trailing arms so that makes a difference on pieces that bolt on.

I used a 99 700 bulkhead to repair a 98 700 and I had to redrill some holes for the plastic to mount to but otherwise it all went on just fine.

so are you saying the trailing arms would not fit? Or i would just have to redrill holes in the belly pan to use a 01 bulkhead? Im just not quite following you

THanks

The '01 bellypans are a different moulding than the '99/'00 due to the location of the rear mounts of the trailing arms. '99/'00 bellypans will mount to a wedge bulkhead with only having to drill a few new/different holes for the rivets. At least thats my take on what he said.

I have my eye on a 2000 mod. from the picture i can see that the plastic forms around the trailing arm slightly, but the whole trailing arm is not encased in plastic?? You can see the bolt where it ties into the chassis from the outside. IM not sure if this clarifies anything.

On a '99/'00 gen 2 you can see the exposed end of the bolt that holds the back of the trailing arm, these bulkheads you can swap out the wedge/gen 2 belly pans fairly easy. On an '01 gen 2 the belly pan is moulded out over the end of the trailing arm, you have to remove a plug to get at the bolt at the rear of the trailing arm.
