Going to be picking one up this summer for some motor work I have to do. Question, will the 7S display battery provide power to run the Auto Agent with the engine off? Or do you need an external power source even with the 7S?

they tell me you need External Power on all the sleds if the engine is off.
Thats why I bought the little AC-DC External Power Converter

Guessing you could buy EZ Lynks power harness and just hook the alligator clips to the 7S battery?

I think you could, but I am not sure that battery has enough capacity to power the unit very long if you want to sit and play with it.
Thats why I opted for the external DC Power Supply, and they use an external battery at their shop
