Who has vented their sled?
What is working?
I bought the SKIDOO 861805531 vent kit for $70 mailed to my door after already purchased 2018 sleds this spring.
We already vented the clutch side panels with SLP Hot Air Elimination Kit LEFT HAND SIDE For Ski-Doo Gen4 850 17-18 32-638 for $60 delivered. It allows the heat out all the vents.
We also did the CVT modification on the clutch cover providing more venting while maintaining a protective barrier if the clutch belt fails.
IMHO the SKIDOO vent kit 861805531 is awesome and really like the modification to easier remove / install the CVT cover. The SLP kit has more venting area than SKIDOOS venting.
Skidoo venting specifically directs the venting into the center of the secondary clutch. While the SLP has vents on side panel to let the heat escape.
In addition;
Put a vent on the hood between the emblem and headlights directly above the exhaust pipe.
Put a couple vents on the right side panel directly above the exhaust muffler.
Im trying to accomplish an air flow path from the front (grill) vents of the sled at front of hood thru the engine area and out the side panels.
