Went out and put on 40 miles this weekend with a few guys. I did not have much for expectations. We just wanted to test some new equipment before heading out west. Found the snow to be better than expected. Looks like the best snow around the peace garden road to st. John. along hwy 43. Wanted to take some pictures but it was so cold nothing would work.

Any recent updates? Would be fun to check out the area one weekend. Much shorter drive than 600+miles out west.

best areas

I have only ridden the turtles once we went to the east on a trail, and there was not much for hills. Are there any spots with decent hills to play on?

Any reports on snow in this area? I have a sled I would like to get broken in and the rest of ND looks pretty poor.

Just groomed last night. Was snowing pretty hard. Trails have a good base on them and there was alot more snow up int the hills in the trees than i figured there would be. Probably a 1.5 to 2 feet up in the trees. I think it will be a nice weekend for riding up in the turtle mountains. Looks to me best snow is north of hwy 43 between there and the boarder. Was good from St John to Metegoshie.
