Tunnel removal

I was wondering if there were any threads or if anyone had a link to a good write up on removing the tunnel and all that's involved in that process.
Thanks

just start hacking!!! the is a couple ways to do it. the best is rip the whole sled to nothing and take it off. or you can just cut it where it wraps around the cooler. not as clean but alot faster.

I'm looking for the same information.

I have seen some pictures on another forum of a sled (XP) that had the complete tunnel removed but the whole front part was not touched (the engine was still in place) so I'm assuming it is possible to do it while leaving the engine in.

Anybody has more detailed info on this?

Like he said.I recomend taking the plastic all off, pull the motor so you can see all the hidden rivets and huck bolts. Then start drilling to remove all the fasteners. When you are looking at dissasembly, remember the panel the front cooler is mounted on has to be freed to release the tunnel. Then once you have it out you can finish removing that panel(leave the cooler attatched to it) and reinstall on the new setup. When you are grinding or removing fasteners remember that the motor mount studs can be driven out and reused and don't accidently cut your mounting points for the fuel pump and such. Not a job for the week at heart.:face-icon-small-coo
