So heres some pics of what my ski looks like. I dont know exactly what year it is, but it says simons gen II on the topside, (if you can tell me what year it is that would be great). the front part of the skags is completely missing the carbides.
Besides buying new skags, are there any mods or alternatives that work better? should I just buy a new ski?
I saw this thread https://www.snowest.com/forum/threads/finally-a-trail-fix-that-works.262268/ which seemed promising but the product does not appear to be for sale anywhere.

TIA

That's a modified gen2 sled ski. Snowtech was building them that way before they switched to the yeti ski. It's a lot of work to build but should work as good as the back country ski which is my favorite for everything but super deep. It looks like your running on the front too much so try to shim something under the back rubber ski bumper to wear more on the back of the carbides. It will be much better on trail.

I really liked the TS Backcountry (10") ski with a Triple Point skag on the center. Bought a new 2020 this year so I'm about to see what the TS Traverse ski is like with the Stud Boy Deuce on the center skag.

Thanks for the input. For the record it handles horribly on the trail and hardpack.
I will go look for a used ski. If any selling one or know of someone selling one I would really appreciate it if you could get me in touch with them.
