Thoughts/Opinions on 12’ PTEK

Wanted to get your thoughts on the 2012 PTEK reliability. I’ve heard of the PTO bearing having heat issues due to the primary and secondary attracting each other under hard acceleration...I assume repacking the existing bearing and replacing the bearing seal once a year would fix the problem? How is the motor for reliability?

I’m looking at a 12’ PTEK with 1600 miles that seems to be in good shape for around the $2.5k mark (owner closing on house and needs to sell). But I don’t necessary want to get my self into a sled that has known issues and keeps me busy with a wrench instead of on the throttle in the snow

The later years of the PTEK were the most refined and reliable. If it's in nice shape I would not hesitate to buy.
Thats is about the mileage where the clutches might need some attention, specifically a rebuild kit for the primary.
