I want to see if the Blast hood will fit on an Ascender. Looks like a lot of weight to be saved and still have a functioning headlight.

I see one of those Blast sleds coming to my house but unfortunately not for another 8-10 years lol. I think they look great and will fill a hole in the market. I bet that 400cc 65hp FI motor will end up in a few snowbikes too.

The hoods look like renderings. They seem fuzzy and aren't the same color as the rest of sled.
I mean they actually are drawing air from under the hood with that setup, it was in some of the material country cat posted, no pics.

I saw that. I would still like to see if it fits on the Ascenders.

I wonder how many years before a kid grew out of it? I'm all for this model and even tried to build something that fits in this class. It took about $3500 and some effort which seemed too expensive. But now competing with an $8000 price point it doesn't seem that bad

It says its a midsized chassis, but still uses ascender body panels, is same ski stance, is 15 wide track. Seems like its still pretty much full size chassis with a smaller engine.

Welp it is well past 1 pm and haven't seen anything else. Guess that really was it. Talk about underwhelming. I don't really get why they hyped it up a month in advance to release a 2020 sled with new stickers and shocks. Snooze, wake me up in 2022.

Yes the kids sled is cool but i bet they sell 1 to every 100 real sleds if they are lucky so who really cares.

Honestly I am really just disappointed in myself for expecting something different from cat. At least I know my 2020 isn't useless now.

^I disagree I think they will sell to more than just kids. rental shops, and spare kicker sleds for the ranch….I want two, one for me and one for wife! I was thinking turbo not 800 swap. bodywork and seat looks smaller than the ass-sender for sure, I thought it was sno pro stuff myself.

Im glad Im not the only grown azz man who wants one, LOL. They look like a blast. I don't even see anything to nitpick... what else would a guy want in a mid size sled? Many are complaining about the price tag but I really don't think its out of line considering a full size Alpha is 13k. They will sell.

Im also intrigued by the Riot X and that may very well be my next sled. I have been saying for years that I want a fully blown mountain sled in 144-146 length... swap out the front end for a 36" and that's exactly what that sled will be. It wouldn't be ideal on deep days or in stupid steep terrain, but 90% of the time it would be a RIOT ;)

Am I reading their websight right? Appears ATAC is only available on the MC 165 manual start. No ATAC option for a 154 or electric start?

I do like the colors. Nice to see a true mid-size sled. And damn that Riot X Alpha should live up to it's name, hang on baby!! Overall nice work AC.

Still would like to see a twin rail option for the mountains, but will give the alpha a bit more time.

This looks a lot like the chassis that will have a single ski and a turbo.
350lbs, 105hp .... sweet boondocker.

Man I’m thinking the same. This should kick the hell out of the Khaos. I can see a turbo Riot X in my garage come next year

Damn no 154 ATAC no sale for me, Ill keep my 19s for another year for my primary mountain sleds. The 154 is actually where you want the lockout so it doesnt wheelie back on you. 165 is a tank in comparison and not a wheelie machine, which I like even in CO/WY. Honestly I was gonna get a 146 riot x this year for a low pow mountain/trail sled for fun factor when the snow sucks. But next years riot x with a 2.6 and mono rail looks sweet. I also want a mid size sled for around my cabin. Almost bought a 200 this year for that. Think about how sweet a Blast mid sized would be with a Garrett sized 25 series turbo. 100+ hp at 10k feet and what about 375lbs??? I want too much though so cant afford all that.

Still nice that Cat mixed it up. I didn't expect an all new mountain sled after looking at the early darked out pics cat posted. And i dont feel they need an 850+ cc motor. The alpha will destroy the same sled with a dual rail climbing in pow. So it will destroy doo and poo 850s getting traction and climbing in pow as well. Yes my axys with 3" powerclaw and turbo would kill it, but even though the 3" powerclaw was my favorite track ever, the alpha 3" came out and killed it combined with the mono rail for traction and climbing in pow.

I wonder how they did the riot x with a 2.6 and mono rail. Did they redesign the 2.6 like when the alpha came out, or is it the same 2.6 from old? Figure theyd beef up the track edges, but maybe not with a shorter skid/track length...

Now that I see this pic comparison Id hope for 365lbs dry. So 375 once you drop a heavy can and slap a turbo on it???
