Summit Won’t Start

2008 Summit 800R PTEK. Gauges started flashing and beeping randomly as of sled was restarting. Eventually the sled completely died, the gauges are stuck in a funny position and now it won’t start. Obviously electrical but never worked on electrical issues with a sled before. Anyone seen this or know where to start?

On the MY 2008 there was a wire that went under the engine behind the slilencer can that would short out. Was riding with a guy this happened to - same list symptems. Had to get that wire fixed and protected. There is probably some documentation as I heard there were quite a few machines this happened to.
