Anyone have any info on Sonora pass snow conditions? I would be coming in from the east side

02 - You might want to contact the Bridgeport Ranger Station at 760/932-7070 and ask them if you can even ride down there. If there is not enough snow at the Leavitt Lake turnoff, they won't allow over the snow travel. Might save you from wasting a trip down there. None of the guys I know here in the Reno/Carson City area have gone down there yet. A real lame season.

Rode there last Tuesday and it offered a little bit of everything...sun exposed mashed potatoes on the south facing slopes and blower over the head turns on the north facing slopes in the trees! Had a nice talk with the USFS Ranger and the gentlemen that works for the Bridgeport Avy Center at their trailer. They have lots of good information that is worth taking look at (known slide paths recent activity etc.) Was still a little bit thin but the current storm cycle should make it pretty dang good.
