The difference is one of those occurred over a period of time due to global factors of inflation fears and geopolitical instability, and the other occurred due to President Dump and Pump manipulating the market and doing insider trading over the course of a week. When market fundamentals are seriously undermined by bad actors, the long term implications are much worse than “traditional” down days. Hence why both the bond and stock market declined at the same time this past week.
honestly just looking through a couple pages of this thread - it’s depressing. 2nd grade level of global economics comprehension coupled with memes generated by someone who apparently spent the last 40 years huffing paint.

Aside from the spike in trading volume 20 minutes before Trump's announcement flip flopping on tarriffs last week? This is after him constantly reiterating this is the new normal and anyone not onboard is a "Panican" lol. Immediately following that flip flop day, the meeting in the Oval Office where he was bragging about how much money he and Charles Schwab made? Come on.
Or how about the Pump and Dump rugpull on TRUMP and MELANIA crypto?
Aside from that blatant corruption, there is zero coherent plan being followed in relation to foreign policy. 50% "Reciprocal" Tariff on Vietnam? They dont even have a tariff on our goods. What we do have is a trade deficit with them, since we buy nearly all of our shoes and apparel from their factories, and they are too poor to afford anything from us. We then take those shoes and mark them up 150% and profit. How is this ripping us off? You guys dying to work for $1.25 a day in a shoe factory? The only way we could reshore the majority of the low skilled manufacturing his tariff "policy" has impacted is if the US becomes similar to the economic conditions of those poor countries. You'd lose your luxuries and buying power in the process. We'd lose the majority of high paying service jobs for low paying factory jobs - at least those still unable to be done by robots. The low skilled manufacturing job with a pension that everyone is pining for is never coming back regardless of what happens. Those positions would be filled by, you guessed it, robots. Robots that we can barely afford now since the majority of the materials to make them are being heavily tariffed themselves. But what do I know, I just like having money.
Frankly, Trump could be standing outside a burning building with a lit torch and you guys still would side with him. Its impressive how effective Fox/Newsmax etc have been at impairing judgement.

If you actually think spray tan man didn’t tell people that he was going to pause tariffs before he did and that none of his buddies jumped into the market with both feet on that information then there’s a bridge in Brooklyn that I’ll make ya a hell of a deal on.

I guess there's just no denying one of and only option would of been a person the democratic party put in place to be the next president since the actual people of the country had no say on the superior intelligence Kamala has to offer.

If deporting people to die in a gulag with zero due process doesn’t chill your blood then you have no soul. Whatever they did, Every person within the US, legal, illegal (which is actually a civil offence , not criminal, but fox won’t tell you that …) immigrant, visitor, whatever, is guaranteed the right to due process. Kamala didn’t lose because of how she was nominated. She lost because she didn’t consistently lie to the american people about how much better their life would be on day one, and she didn’t address inflation and the labor market appropriately. She lost because the average family is hurting, but also the average person is very unaware of macro economic policies and the state of global inflation and how the US faired vs other countries. It is very easy for a conman to sell the average american good feeling lies and Teflon Don is perhaps the greatest conman who ever lived
