I heard on the mt today... This type of event you don't leave the shovels outside, you bring them inside to dig yourself out of the house. This was in reference to the Mammoth area. Bring it! I've got lots of shovels.

I was in one of these a while back ... Found the house by chimney and dug DOWN to the second floor window !

Another 2 feet plus estimated Sierra range 8000 feet just north of Truckee American river INCREASING to 3 plus feet Mammoth KINGS Canyon to 4 feet in TULARE / KERN County area !

Mammoth to TRUCKEE/SUSANVILLE seems have most TOTAL accumulation by Friday

Easily over 5 feet total at 8000 feet by 5 Jan

specifically Olympic valley

TIOGA PASS TO KINGS CANYON

IMHO would ride between storms FRIDAY SATURDAY 6-7 BECAUSE IT IS SUPPOSE TO rain ON sunday 8 jan 1-3 INCHES RAIN UP TO 8500 FEET THEN A DAY CLEARING AND MORE SNOW NEXT WEEK

been snowing for past 48 hours, however it is getting warmer and the snow is getting heavier.
soon it will be rain at the house 6500ft:face-icon-small-dis
then rising to be all rain at most riding elevations around here:face-icon-small-fro:face-icon-small-fro
hopefully some cold air moves in from the north to bring snow levels down

There are 3 storms here ...

This one now providing the most snow to 2500 feet

Second storm 2 days this weekend many inches rain to 9500 feet

Third storm 9th thru the 12th Mon - Thurs maybe 6 inches a day levels around 6000 feet

Ends the 13th WITH NO NEW STORMS ON THE HORIZON BASED ON THE EVIL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE BUILD UP CAUSING STORMS TO DUMP INTO THE OCEAN OR GO WAY NORTH
