I read in at least one of the trade journals that the belt is back where the battery used to be, and is covered in this vid as well now.

OK, so where did the battery go?
The battery is going in the same spot as before.

Before what?
My '18 is back there.
Did they move is somewhere since?
No, I think the battery and belt will be stored in the same spot behind the seat.

Pretty sure that the terminology that I read in one of the other mags was worded as "where the battery used to be".
I'll try to re-look at that tonight.

The vid doesn't show a battery there, but it may not be an e-start machine...

Shirley the sled in your pic doesn't have a batt on it either?
Unless they countersunk it into the tank in recent years?
That cap on the back doesn't have nearly enough bulge to have both.

edit:
Hmmmph, I guess it does have enough bulge.

Watch this video on YouTube:

2023 Ski-Doo Summit Spare Belt Holders

Video shows two versions, now with SHOT and a belt and the other with a battery out back.

Looked at that other mag (I was only 2 pages from it) and they distinctly said:

"... where the batt on early model G4's with electric start would have been."

I just "built my own" on the Doo site, and electric start is still available, so ... what doo those yahoos in Minnasnowta know eh?

But also note that the batt on the Norona vid is aparently just for the fancy read-out, not for starting, but a starter batt would still fit there.
