It always suprises me when I see comments like this. I have 1850 miles on a 20.5 turbo ridden in October thru May and only once has it ever over heated. It was 50 degrees in April on hard snow. I’ve never run the snow flap extension and I don’t know any one who has. I’ve ridden every other week at least since thanksgiving this year and had no issues. Maybe it just my northern Colorado location. I can’t imagine IP revy Cooke or tog are that much different temp wise.Today we went for a ride and found that we were the only ones in the mountains. The trails are groomed to perfection the snow is soft and spring like. We met up with 2 gentleman that had traveled down to eastern idaho to look for snow that they could run their new sleds on. They were all riding 5 year old polaris 800s. They said they cant run the new sleds because of cooling issues with the shorter tunnels the lack of heat exchangers and the fact that we have not had powder for over a month.
We still plan on riding for 4 to 6 more weeks. Have these sleds become so specialized that we have cut our riding season to 2 weeks in January. Can you ride these on spring snow or is there a cooling problem and performance problem in more marginal snow conditons. I have seen so very few people riding this year and the answer Im hearing is poor snow conditions. We have rode all season.
What temperature is considered high?It always suprises me when I see comments like this. I have 1850 miles on a 20.5 turbo ridden in October thru May and only once has it ever over heated. Never really worried about degree temperature. My sled has the old gauge and only twice have I seen it above 5 out of 8 bars and one of those times it beeped and flashed engine overheat. What temperature is considered high?
Around here its because it STOPPED SNOWING back in December.I have seen so very few people riding this year and the answer Im hearing is poor snow conditions. We have rode all season.
