Anybody use them? I was checking out the HMK Boas and it looks like you can get a boa snowboard boot for a lot less $$$

Also I might try out sledding in to some backcountry boarding at some point...

yup. burton. kick butt. paid $100 for them and use them when i do some back country snowboarding too.

pv

Use burtons as well not sure on model, just make sure there are no metal clips on the outside they will tear your seat

I agree with doornenbal. I love my burtons, would never go to the HMK... or others, too much $ for what u get. Get the same thing for 100$ less

FYI-I don't even know why all companies are marketing these stiff boots for snowmobiling. I know that flexiblity is everything when riding. I know a guy that had a pair last year and came off of a small drift and hit another and busted his leg in multiple places just above that boot line. You legs are made to take shock like that, that is why your knees and ankles bend, they act just like a suspension. Now take out the movement of the ankle and you lose that. Try taking out a pivot point on the suspension of your sled and see what happens! Just my .02 I would try to stay away from a stiff boot like that, especially for agressive riding.

I know it sounds ghey but the boots I have been using are really soft and I get sore bruises on the inside of my ankles/legs from gripping the tunnel with my legs.

been wearing snowboard boots for years, my kid gets his gear for free (sponsored) so i get all his hand-me-downs Sweeet. There warm and dry

Have to disagree, I've seen some of the best riders around wear board boots for Extreme sledding (slednecks)

Soloman F24 snowboard boots. Stiff but still comfortable, good for narrow feet, etc. Just as good on the sled as they are on my board.

I have a pair of HMK's, tried on a pair of snowboard boots on as well and as far as ankle support, they were pretty much the same...

Burton Sabbath. Love 'em, but I snowboard regularly with my sled so a non-snowboarding boot just doesn't have a point.

Plus, my mad wing tip stylee makes me a hit at the board meeting. Picked them up for $220 at my bro's snowboard shop.

LMAO

Good all-around footwear!

I've worn snowboard boots when riding before, but I ripped the seat with the lace-hooks. Now if I ever ride with snowboard boots, a little duct-tape over the hooks solves that problem.

Been wearing snowboard boots for a long time, no other option if you backcountry ride while 'billing. The bottoms seem to wear out fast with aggreesive running boards (maybe the snowmobile specific do it too?).

The protection and stiffness is nice, I am currently using "Ride" boots, and they are the best pair I have ever had.

I use to wear snowboard boots. I found that the bottom of the boot is made of a really soft rubber. I wore holes in the bottom of them after a half year riding. They were fairly expensive Vans too.

I wear klim boots now.

had Burton Vikings (old school)
trashed em in one season
upgraded to HMK Pro's

MINT A$$ boots.....only paid $189 brand new
nice and stiff like the Burtons but tougher sole for the running boards

i suggest them

i have a pair of burton rulers works great i broke the clip on the left one and got a brand new pair after a year of abuse. i really like them and my feet have never been cold.

My daughter used to wear them till I got tired of repairing rips in the seat and scratches all over the tunnel from the eyelets and buckels.:beer;

i dont know if they still do but im pretty sure HMK used to buy old snowboard boot moulds from vans. the HMK boa boots are just outdated snowboard boots. they probably work fine but you can get a lower quality snowbord boot for cheaper thats just as good as any "sled" boot.

ive had about 100 days of kicking snow off running boards with my burton boots and there still in good shape.
