I have a group heading out next weekend to the West Yellowstone and Island Park areas. We are just wondering the snow conditions? We are stopping in the Big Horns on the way out too. Thanks

We just got back from ip. You will have to scout a little but there is deep stuff to find. It is tracked up close to towns but explore and you shall find good stuff. We trailered for this snow. This was in tepee creek basin. Trail head is 5 or so miles north of West Yellowstone. Trail heads across the road. Take a right at the yellow sign, at the next Y, take a left. This is all one lane track trail. Its rolling moguls but so worth it.

Funny, you live about 15 miles south from me. I’m just north of Braham. Thanks for the report!
Wow, small world. Going out took us 18.5/19 hrs, coming back in a snow storm and it was 22 hrs. Its a long drive but its fun.
They even shut it down for awhile when they pulled out this semi.

We’re going to Buffalo Wyoming on Friday for a few days to meet some friends that live there. Then to West Yellowstone.
Road Black's yesterday. About 8 inches of fresh up high, but nothing substantial for a few weeks. Still good riding in the trees. I heard the Big Horns got pounded with snow. I know there has been a bunch in southern Montana.
Will be in west on Saturday will you be there then looking for people to ride with on saturday rest of my group wont be there until sunday.
