just wanna know is there a difference between ski & snowmobile goggles, and what brand is everybody using,i was using ski goggles and they fog and ice up alot, dose this happen to snowmobile goggles? any answer is appreciated.
I think some are actually designed for helmets, Mine actually have a helmet strap kit http://www.oakley.com/pd/2045 with a hinged wing piece at the strap/goggle connection to make the foam fit my face better in the helmet.
I wear Oakley A-Frames http://www.oakley.com/pd/3277 w/ the VR28 Polarized lenses for bright days and the High Intensity Amber for the low/flat light days.
I never have fogging or ice issues. If you take them or your helmet off, just be sure not to get any snow or water inside....then your toast. I use quick straps on mine, If I stop for any period of time, I just take them off and stuff inside my jacket or put them in a Sled Solutions mesh bag http://www.sledsolutions.com/store/images/VB-1-INSTALLED.jpg I have mounted under my hood and they come out toasty dry and ready to ride.
those are nice goggles, thanx for the links & pic ,mine have alot of foam they designed to go over glasses and they have good ventilation, when i go fast my forehead freezes.maybe its time to invest in good pair of goggles.
Agreed- Scott 89xi are good goggles. I have two sets but have never fogged so haven't needed the spares. They vent extremely well and have good cushioning.
I'm going to try the 509's - I need a set in yellow tint anyway and would like to see what difference the polarized lens makes. My Scott's have a rose tint which is fantastic in sunlight but now I want a light yellow tint for riding flat light. I thought I'd try the 509's for that. Then I can actually make an educated comparison. It seems like the 509's get mixed reviews.
