Really? Your asking for plans to copy somebodys work? Thats BS in my book. If you want to build something, design it and build it yourself. I build sledecks too, and it bothers me when people just ask how i built this or that just so they can steal the idea and try to do it themselves. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into designing and building these. If you arent willing to put forth that effort yourself and come up with your OWN plans, then you really shouldnt be asking to copy anyone elses design. Im not affiliated with Toy Up whatsoever, but im still gonna call you out on it...

No I dont have a problem taking advice and plans or whatever anybody has to offer...I'm not trying to put anybody out of business...I dont think me building my own deck is going to ruin the sled deck industry...just looking for a good starting point from people who have built their own decks..sorry if this upsets you

Sometimes places will sell the plans as well, maybe toyup would sell you the drawings for a reasonable fee. I see no issue with that.

What would you consider resonable ? I have built plenty of decks and and still building and selling (to support the habbit). I have plans that I drew, built, modified and finally finalized. I have used these plans for many decks now. I am not against helping a guy out.
Anyway, I guess what i am saying is that maybe my plans are for sale also.

Seems highmarker has a big problem with it. He must have way over thought his design or wasted his time cause they are pretty simple to build. Trial and error. I would see no ptoblem helping you out i used to have a toy up deck as well. Seems we should have bigger things to worry about. He also said he just wanted that style. Help a fellow sledder out....

My biggest decision is thickness of material. What thickness/ dimensions are you guys using for...
steel?
Aluminum?

Wow I thought it would be fun for people to post their ideas from their sled deck builds and share some ideas and tips for my build....had know ideas my ethics were going to challenged...crazy

Ya crazy right i guess our ethics are being questioned now cause it is nice to share ideas. Keep your ideas to yourself and stay off threads like this if you dont want to share ideas.

Sorry, I guess I can stop being an *******. I just hate it when people want to steal ideas without any effort put in themselves. Kinda a pet peeve of mine I guess. What are you building the deck to fit? I build my decks from 1x2 rectangle tubing. I would suggest. 095 or. 120 wall. 8x8 deck is easy to fit plywood decking. Other than that its personal preference. Good luck on the build.

I have superduty dually long box so fixed sides are fine. Want to work with with steel because my aluminum tig skills aren't up to my likings. Just wondering about ramp width/length and how long of beaver tail...was thinking I would like a one piece ramp to tuck away nicely when stowed but still be around 10' overall with beaver tail..def hear on the 8 x8 and plywood fit. What about a hinged beaver tail for easier access to tailgate and bed?
