made the 121-144 change and still feeling that it wants to dig,As for track is the backcountry 1.75 144
the skid is the monoshock with the big Öhlins.

As now i have invested in other things and cant throw out dollar, what would be the best move?

buy the 121-136 ext and stretch for 144, if so do you need the axle for not stabbing the front of skid? And are there any on doing that so i know where to drill.

and i love to pull wheelies whatever speed, will that be gone?

btw would a 162 timbersled from a nytro fit or are there diffrent monting holes?

And what differs as or the apex mtx uses 2" + track but my stretched 144 gt has almost problems with the 1.75, other drivers?

You can try adjusting the limiter strap in the front. My Stock Nytro MTX would dig and trench unless it was tightened. It will limit your ability to wheelie, but may help with the trenching. If you want to run a 2" track, you may need to install drivers that have 1 less tooth. So if you have 7 tooth drivers, try to find some 6 tooth. Keep in mind that it will change the gearing so you will have to adjust for it.

The Timbersled mtn tamer for the Nytro mounts in the stock location on the Nytro, so if a stock Nytro skid will fit, then a timbersled will fit as well.

I would keep the anti-stab kit on the front of your skid, it is good insurance to have. On my skid, I just drilled out the hole that keeps the end caps on the rail tip.

If all you did was just add extensions to your 121 skid the sled will still tend to trench. Extensions don't alter the approach angle of the track. All of the yamaha trail sleds have a rather steep approach angle. The yamaha xtx 144 skids don't have as steep of an approach so that is what allows the sled to get on top of the snow better.

Most guys recommend putting 136 extensions on, offsetting the skid back and then using a 144 track. This will give you better deep snow performance.

Old thread, but have chaged the attackangel by doing 121-136 and stretch to 144. also changed the front to 38 with higher shocks and skipped the torsion bar..
