stock 17 gearing works pretty dang good. 18 gearing seems a little low for boost and doesn't give the sled the impressive legs they COULD have.

What is 17 gearing again? My dealer updated mine to 18 gearing before I took it out.
How has belt life been WHM?

With the updated gear ratio you can actually 'gear out' fairly easily on a higher speed open climb. The 18 gearing tops out at just over 70mph so you can basically run the thing out really easily.
The new lower 2018 gearing feels a little better out of the hole (as it should) but felt like it just did not pull on the top end at all compared to the 17 gearing. 2017 setup at 5psi and 9k feet is super impressive, really good legs for a pump gas sled. I have not had the setup out a lot yet this year (around 200 miles on boost so far and the belt has been doing fine. No noticeable heat fading as of yet which is good and usually pretty easy to make fade even on stockers.... but I haven't had the G4 in any really good snow yet either.

Looking for 175 gearing after turbo goes on, usually just jump 1 to two teeth on top sprocket over stock, but best method is to check primary on a good pull
Just received 7 tooth drivers for the 850, so will need to recalibrate gearing after to compensate

You need to provide more info to properly gear the sled. What type of riding do you do? And, how would you distribute percent time spent riding across trail, mountain, chute climbing, technical, etc. They should all add up to 100% fully distributed. There is some giving and taking with gearing. You want to gear for 80% of your riding.
There are some good all around setups, but they can be adjusted for different objectives. Also, what boost and elevation do you plan to ride at most of the time.
