hey, have a sba 12, 2", 20-42
Riding mostly boulder 5500-7500 and was looking at what polaris recommends and what others have did. right know my sled is setup with 140-330 10-66 primary, stock sec at 2000 elevation runs good, did try 155-222 in sec was revy and quick backshift but did not pull as hard also cluthes were hotter, changed back. what is the best setup out west that worked for you? What type and size of weights worked epi belly busters 10-60? should I go lower engagement 120-320? Sec keep stock or rmk or 160-240? helix worth the money to change? skid hole change top or bottom? limiter strap position on the looses setting right now.
fist time out west with this sled so trying to figure it out before I get there or worse when im out there.

Thanks

I can give you my setup for my pro that works in Valemount (same elevation).

'11 long rod 800 pro 155 PC track (2.4"), 20/42, stock 140/330 primary spring, 10-62, Carl's clutching in the secondary 60-40-40, gold/blk spring (170/240). I have since swapped to a team tied secondary and found it to be more responsive on and off the throttle.

I don't think they will be that different, secondary setup possibly but primary Should be very similar. You can buy adjustable weights if you ride a two different altitudes occasionally. I run dalton adjustables myself. What is your secondary setup now?

Personally I would put 10-62's in it and run it. I see 45-48mph with my setup (both tied and stock sec. With Carl's setup), if you are close to that you are fine. Some others may chime in with fine tuned setups yet.

My 03 rmk 162" with twin pipes ran the same weight and sec setup as my '11 in the tied secondary. My 04 proxr runs very similar to both at low elevation but more weight and more helix (less track and gearing though).

Just what I have noticed.

I have also tried the 155-222 but keep going back to the red/blk (140-240).

maybe I run what the rmks runs 10-62 140-330 rmk helix 155-222 or 140-220/240. Does the helix make that big of a difference? Also with secondary spring is the first number the starting force and the last finishing rate like the primary?more force faster backshift

Thanks
