Safety Bulletin #BS201111, Alert #11-715, update kit 0637-354 lower A-arm bracket replacement

Has anyone had this update kit installed and do you think it makes the sled safer?

I know it would be installed for free at any arctic cat dealer. I don’t have a dealer nearby so I am thinking of buying the update and installing myself on my 2010 M8.

Have had dozens of m’s, one came with kit. Ride with my six kids a lot so we’ve wiped out a few front ends. One with kit had more bulk head damage than others when it’s time came. Did not reinstall on replacement ZBros front end.

don't wast your time. Had a few bad welds but the stock front end will by far take a hit that will total a Polaris or doo.

Out of curiosity, where do these braces go on the arms and how many per side?

If I remember correctly the reason for this was for cat to cover their rear end on some 2010 sleds that got bad welds on a-arms. Not something that is needed on all M series. If you have a 2010 and it hasn't broke in the last 10 years it's probably fine. If you have a poor looking weld then maybe consider it. They go on the bottom arm in the front where it attaches to the bulkhead.
