Rails 13 vs 14 Difference

I bought a used 2014 Yamaha viper xtx that was long tracked to 162 with cat rails. I have one that’s starting to crack , so trying to figure out what year they are and if there’s difference. Need to order one.

2014 and 2015 rails are slightly shorter than 12/13 rails to account for the skid being mounted further back in the chassis. 2016+ cat rails are totally different profile and require more part swaps. Yamaha was first to use the new profile in 2015 I think.

Wrong scratchers installed or not installed in that hole caused that problem. Short end of scratcher spring goes in that hole not above it. Those rails look like the 12-13 profile to me. JMO

Yeah I agree. I’m planning on skidoo scratchers with holder anyway. Thanks for post
