Have a buddy with a 17' axys with 1300ish miles. We were riding over the weekend and he had his side panel off and I noticed it looked like he had some slop in his quick drive belt. I mean there is quite a bit of movement, like maybe close to 1/2" mid belt. My 18' 800 with similar miles and 20' 850 pretty much have no movement and are quite tight. Is there any spec on the quickdrive belt defltion? Anyone have any similar problems? Any seen the belt, gears or bearings wear enough to loosen the belt?

Id also check the drive shaft and jack shaft bearings. Possible chassis damage? Failing driveshaft?

Bearings...Check them on both ends of the Jackshaft and both ends of the driveshaft....

Jackshaft bearings inspection with secondary clutch and QD belt removed, pull the top QD pulley and brake rotor ....
Driveshaft... with back of sled suspended and tension off the track... lower QD pulley removed.

Also check the backing plate carefully for a break

Stretched QD belt.... I really doubt that as possibility

Ok, this is something I’ve never seen or expected. Check out the pic. Shaft wearing out? Weird anyone ever seen that?

Same thing happened to my 14 pro rmk. All bolts were tight. Added a little bearing retaining compound when I replaced the shaft and bearing.
