Question on 509 goggle fan settings.

Just bought a used fan and goggles(509). Obviously did not get any manual explaining the different settings. I went sledding yesterday and they worked great. What is the difference between the yellow setting and the green?

Yellow is moisture sensing and will turn it's self ON and OFF.
Green in constant ON
