I have a 2.6" 162 on my 850. I'm looking for a little more traction. The 2.6" seems to work well in deep and fluffy powder, but seems to leave a bit on the table on snow that has more traction. Is everyone that made the switch on the axys happy?

I did it on my 17’ axys sidekick. It’s really aggressive. I liked it a lot. I would love a alpha 3” if they made one for a twin rail.

I have an X3 163 and a PC 163 both amazing on the Axys. Have had a 3” stock,2.6 stock, 2.80 ect all were dog **** vs the X3 or PC

I havent run the PC, would really like to though...

But, they are hard to come by and very expensive.

I run the X3 and X2.7, and the Avid polaris style 7tooth 3inch pitch drivers. Cost me about 1000usd for the whole setup from Tracksusa.

If you do switch out your track I am interested in your take off 2.6" x 163"

What say you about the PC vs CamoX3? Did the x3 have the sawtooth lugs?

I have one and I have run them all and by far the PC is the best IMO.

How do you compare the X3 to the PC? Have run the 3" claw on a cat and it was amazing. Want to put one on the axys but it's a 155" so a good bit more money to do VS just picking up an X3

I’m back on the X2.7. I can’t believe how much easier it rolls with very noticeable less vibration than the 3”PC. And revs quicker.

Dude, what IS that with the PC on an axys? It drove me crazy when I first put one on mine. It doesn't do that on the cats so it must be the drivers right? I've thought about rounding off the avids I have because they're pretty angular with hard edges unlike the cat ones. The PC does feel stiffer.

Its the same with AVIDS or stock drivers.
It may be the attack angle on the cat.????

I've run both a 156 X3 on axys and now a 153 PC. The X3 digs way harder then stock, but still floats a little more then the powerclaw.

The powerclaw flat hooks up. thats it, it just digs and goes, this does result in a little less forgiveness and will dig and flip you over quicker if your not careful but also makes for a VERY VERY fun sled. Definately a more expensive combo to run the PC, but it is a rocking setup.

Also, note, if your in CO/UT/WY riding lighter fluffier snow the powerclaw doesnt shine quite as hard. Western MT, North ID, WA, OR, BC, AK etc with thicker snow it really shows its ability. It feels like some big HP gain because of how much more it hooks vs a 2.6

Also i would highly recommend a gear down either a kurts kit or if you want to go lower, TKI when stepping up to any of these options. They ahve a lot more traction and being geared to 95mph is a bit ridiculous and makes a lot of belt heat. Geared down and lots of traction makes for a rocking seutp.
