Holy s#$t guys, this is sweet! The belt won't slip, it's got teeth. But there's a reason that idler is there(Hopefully it's adjustable/spring loaded for easier swaps in the backcountry). We all know cat and Polaris can’t wait very long to put out their own 2 stroke turbos. The Polaris patents have some very cool ideas. Not so sure about this belt drive pic from one of the patents. Can’t imagine that belt ain’t gonna slip with some turbo power. But what do I know, ain’t no engineer
Built a set a few years back myself, stainless pedalsThere's a lot of information there. I just started to read some of it and it looks like they're hoping to put out 2-3psi at sea level, up to about 7psi at elevation! That'll be a big step up from the Doo turbo.
Also cool to see the reeds in the boost box. I have a friend that's run that concept for years. Had it in his Dragon chassis! Worked well to reduce turbo lag.
I just like seeing the footwell hoops in the pictures.Holy s#$t guys, this is sweet! The belt won't slip, it's got teeth. But there's a reason that idler is there(Hopefully it's adjustable/spring loaded for easier swaps in the backcountry).
See that oval in the middle (#80)?? That's an exhaust tunnel dump!
Isn’t something better than nothing? We will see how much ends up in the production sled.
Good catch! And smart of Polaris, but I hope they switch and put that idler wheel in front of the exhaust outlet. More teeth to belt on that upper sprocket!I think it's probably to run the exhaust through there, outlet is #80 as pictured above
