• I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.

A Group Buy here on SnoWestOnline.com would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers.

Here is an example of a viable "Group Buy"

    http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=269222

A promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet.

If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy... as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.

If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.

Also, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.

As ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.

    Have a great season.

From this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums.

That sounds exciting ! :)
I miss riding a turbo sled for sure but the 850 has been a pretty good substitute.
If this goes on the 850, it should be a beast!!

We all knew it was coming.

Combing though those there is some very cool concepts and ideas the aftermarket has played with in the past. Giving those some OEM level support and development means we are likely to see a kit that performs far better then anything we have on the market right now.

VERY excited to see these hit the snow and throw a leg over one.

I'll give the DOO crew some props for being first to market, but a Turbo 850 axys platform (or most likely a maytrx) will be off the charts fun.We ar ereally in the realm of seeing ful mod sleds rolling off the showroom floor these days.

We all know cat and Polaris can’t wait very long to put out their own 2 stroke turbos. The Polaris patents have some very cool ideas. Not so sure about this belt drive pic from one of the patents. Can’t imagine that belt ain’t gonna slip with some turbo power. But what do I know, ain’t no engineer

There's a lot of information there. I just started to read some of it and it looks like they're hoping to put out 2-3psi at sea level, up to about 7psi at elevation! That'll be a big step up from the Doo turbo.

Also cool to see the reeds in the boost box. I have a friend that's run that concept for years. Had it in his Dragon chassis! Worked well to reduce turbo lag.

Holy s#$t guys, this is sweet! The belt won't slip, it's got teeth. But there's a reason that idler is there(Hopefully it's adjustable/spring loaded for easier swaps in the backcountry).

See that oval in the middle (#80)?? That's an exhaust tunnel dump!

Isn’t something better than nothing?
My other hobby is airplanes, and “Turbonormalizing” has been a game changer for our piston engines at altitude. Aka making sea level HP at altitude. My 850 didn’t seem down on power, but then again, maybe I have no idea what I’ve been missing out on!

I think it's probably to run the exhaust through there, outlet is #80 as pictured above
Good catch! And smart of Polaris, but I hope they switch and put that idler wheel in front of the exhaust outlet. More teeth to belt on that upper sprocket!
