Piston ring end gap??

I have 2001 ski doo 800 summit. what should the piston ring end gap be?
And what should be the clearence between the cylinder and piston?

If it is less than .016 you use a file and widen it a little bit.

If the end gap is different top, middle, bottom then your cylinder is tappered and you need to have it fixed.

I usually take the ring and insert it in the cylinder from the bottom. Use the piston to evenly push it up to just below the exhaust port, then measure the end gap.
