Over oiling on rebuilt motor

I have a 2012 800 pro. I rebuilt the engine and got it put back in and it is burning a lot of oil. Not burning it all just going through the exhaust. I don’t think I moved any settings for oil pump. Any suggestions?

If you hooked up the linkage on the pump with the swivel arm on the wrong side you will have full oil all the time. I think there is a youtube video about it somewhere.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing this year after a top end rebuild. To check if your pump is running wide open just pull the throttle back and forth and see if the the pump arm is actuating with the the throttle at the same time. If not, pull your air box in order to get to the pump arm and set it correctly. Its not difficult, just a PITA for the oversight.
