The Patroller is similar in price and size, but not as easy as the Tracker. It has a dial that you need to spin in order to start searching, which can be difficult to turn if you have gloves or mittens on. It also only has 3 directional arrows that seem to jump around quite a bit, where the Tracker has 5 and they don't seem to jump around as much. The Patroller is both analog and digital, which can be a benefit, but i've found that the tracker can pick up a signal just as far away as the Patroller can with its analog signal. I'd say you'll be better off going with the Tracker. Then again, it all depends on what you're most comfortable with.
