Mt. Baker in Washington State is forecasted to get quite the wallop from this season’s first atmospheric river event.
The peak is projected to pick up 50″ of snowfall just today!
By the time the event is over the peak of Mt. Baker (above the ski resort) could see as much as 132″ of snow.

Today Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 33. Wind chill values between 17 and 22. Windy, with a south southwest wind 33 to 40 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 27 to 33 inches possible.

Tonight Snow showers. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 28. Wind chill values between 17 and 22. Windy, with a south southwest wind 35 to 40 mph decreasing to 23 to 28 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 16 to 22 inches possible.

Thursday Snow showers. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Temperature falling to around 27 by 4pm. Wind chill values between 14 and 19. Breezy, with a southwest wind around 24 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible.

Thursday Night Snow showers before 11pm, then snow after 11pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 28. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Breezy, with a southwest wind 22 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 18 to 24 inches possible.

That’s a massive monster dump for this time of year. Get one of those tiny single sled trailers and hook it up to a quad and head up the mountain!!!
