• I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.

A Group Buy here on SnoWestOnline.com would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers.

Here is an example of a viable "Group Buy"

    http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=269222

A promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet.

If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy... as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.

If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.

Also, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.

As ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.

    Have a great season.

From this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums.

There are many well done counterfeits out there, made in some far off land of killer bats. Seriously, NGK knows there's an issue, and published pic comparisons of genuine vs. repo fakes and how to recognize them a few years ago. At least that's their story. The fakes are likely getting harder to recognize.

The problem is the high oil injection rate. Until Polaris gets the ecu mapping right.. use this work around.

Injection rate causes the plug to seperate? Seems odd thats all, they dont even foul if i shut it off right when it happens, the electrode can slide freely in the body and it never did it last year at all

I've had some failures, similar to the above with the bpr9es. Had an entire 4 pack of bpr9eix have the insulator break away from the metal shell.
Also side note, I've had luck reusing plugs after hitting the tips with some heat from a propane torch and a light wire brushing to loosen the oil/carbon deposits then blowing them out with air. Sadly turned in to part of my post ride check, prepping plugs for the following day

Is your octane up to spec or are you trying to run 89 (mild deto) in your 91 min motor, are you turboed. I can't help but wonder since I have been running the NGK BPR9ES since 2004 racking up roughly 37,000 miles and have never had a plug issue of any kind.

Stage 2 slp with resistor, non ethanol mode with 91 no ethanol fuel. mainly run around 4000-6000 feet. Honestly i never had an issue last year, my clutching was a little off and overrevved and it would detonate but that happened one time only last year. Put new plugs in last fall and ive had issues ever since, compression is 120 a side. New plug boots and wires. The plug seems to always fail after working the sled hard and then idling for 10 seconds, try and take off and the plug failed( body seperates). Change plug and it runs fine, doesnt seem to matter which cylinder.

I am still running on a box of 8 plugs bought 6 or 7 years ago BPR9ES with no problems of this kind ever. Probably getting between 1000 to 2000 miles on plugs and rarely even have to pull plug for any reason. This box of plugs is probably really NGK and not knock offs from BFE.
