I get to pick up my new rifle today. It has been at the gunsmith for a couple weeks getting some work done. Here's what I got. A Remington model 700 Sendero in 300 RUM. I had the gunsmith install a muzzle break, bed the rifle, install a rifle basix trigger and break in the barrel with a tubz kit. The scope is a Ziess Conquest 6.5x20x50 with turrets.

I can't wait to get out and shoot it and see what kind of groups I am getting. I plan on a 250 yard zero. I'll post some pics once I get it home.

Oops, sorry, it's not a sendero... didn't catch that. On my best days I get 1 1/2" groups at 300 yards. I'm happy w/ that.

I had powell rifles in New Mexico build me a 300 rum on the remington 700. Stainless steel and put a 4.5 X14 leupold boone and crocket scope on it. It is the best gun I have ever shot. I can't say enough good things about it. handloading is by far the best way to go for a custom rifle. I am getting some awesome groups off of a bench at the range. Now I can't use the gun as an excuse, of course I never miss anyway.;):D

One thing to remember, most rifles are more accurate than the person shooting it. Human error can be a b!tch at times.

I have a 338 edge based off the 300 ultra SPS. @ 300 yards a 3 shot group is pretty much touching one another.

Those are some incredible groups!

So here is my rifle. It has got to be close to 14 lbs as well.

I bought some Double Tap ammo with 200 gr accubonds moving at 3200 fps. Shoots a clover leaf group at 100 yards! I can't wait to get it out to 300 yards and see what the groups do. I also shot my mtn goat at 358 yards a couple days ago and hit just where I wanted to.
