Looking for a little help...new owner of a used Radix(8 times)..the snow is here and I am getting ready for my first ride...can't wait...so for my question... the short chain seems long and the is no front(short) chain adjuster?...Would the front chain stretch that much after 8 rides..Do you guys start dropping links?...the chain looks almost new...Thanks

First things first. What bike did the kit come off of, what bike is it going on to? Does your kit have the plastic tension block still attached to the Radix frame? (Should be two torx screws that hold it on) What size sprocket are you running? I found my short chain to be extremely tight/difficult to put on (wr450f)

The black block turns over and should take up some of the slop..
I was thinking of making a small tension device for that point..
You should be using a 13th sprocket.. Good luck.. Wish I was riding..

Don't run it to loose. The holes in plastic block are offset. (Not enough in my IMO)Flip it or add on to it. Ran mine to loose last year and snapped chain in 5th gear ovr the handlebars and made a mess of case. Thank god it didn't go through. They do stretch.

1 tooth up or down on the countershaft. 1 up wold probly work for the chain but you might not have clearance for the case, hard to tell in the pic u may have to ditch the case saver guard thing. or 1 tooth down u could then probly remove a link. or go with a dreaded half link.

Went down a tooth to 13.. 1/4" too short to put the masterlink in still, even without the block. Way too loose with one extra link in chain. Not enough clearance to run a 15t chain.

Could I add a chain roller idler on a bracket where the plastic block is?

That looks way close. I've had to put that same chain on several times and it has been super close like that. I have had luck doing it two ways. The first way is to take the sprocket off the drive shaft put the master together and use a pry bar to tighten the chain to where you can slide the sprocket on. The easiest way I've done it is to use a pair of needle nose pliers and put the tips of the pliers into the holes on the chain the master needs to come through and squeeze as you put the link in from the inside. I hope one of these ideas is good enough to get you going!

If I remember right when the suspension works the chain should get looser. I have had three bikes with the chains tight like the issue your having and haven't had any seal or countershaft issues at all, and I've been long enough now I don't worry about it anymore

I was concerned about the slack in my chain and spoke to Vernal at 2moto. He said mine looked fine.
