New gas caddy size?

Would anyone have the actual measurements of the 2017 brp gas caddy and the measurements of the previous model (2016-)... in the pics I have seen the new one looks huge. Also would the brp tunnel backpack 28l fit a 154 with the gas caddy? Thanks

From what I have seen the new gas caddy is 4 gallons (16 liters). As far as the tunnel backpack, on my 174 it requires 4 Linq attachments so unlikely it would allow you to have the 28L backpack and a gas caddy given it requires 4 LinQ attachments. On the 174 one could place 6 LinQ attachments but the weight would be above BRP recommendations on tunnel weight/position on the tunnel. We have used the tunnel backpack for 3 years since it carries more than any other tunnel bags we found. However, it definitely leaves room for improvement in multiple areas (zippers, NOT waterproof).

Thankstj427 for the useful information on the tunnel back pack, guess I'll have to go with one of the semi rigid bags, sorry I didn't make my post clear but I was looking for an exterior dimension comparison between the two caddy ( width x length x height)

The new gas cans are not that much bigger. Most of the new volume appears to be in the increased height. Also I ran the soft tunnel backpack and while i liked the low profile fit as said above it does "require" four linQ attachments. It also sits on the tunnel and will leave rub marks. I was actually able to run the gas can and feed the front two straps of the backpack around the Linq bases with the can on and then use the rear two for the other two straps and it worked ok. The semi rigid bags also has its issues I had two of them rip right off the base plate last year on whooped out trails.

Thanks white rad, the extra height is what worries me throwing a leg side to side plus the extra weight, wondering how the 2016 model looks on the sled??? Any suggestions on a tunnel bag that isn't a pita to attach and remove and will stay in places on not rip off with roll overs and whooped out trails? living in eastern Canada if you don't buy Brp it gets very expensive so would like to stick to a dealer item if possible.

I just bought a 11l gas tank and the small premium bag for the 165.
I am sure they would fit on the 154 no problem. High quality bag and gas tank. I didnt go with the bigger bag just because i thought it was too big. I dont carry much. But if you carry more, get the bigger one. As far as gas. I think 3+ gallons is plenty for me, and less weight on the tunnel. If i was to ever go for a big glacier ride, i would just buy 2 stackable units and put them underneath each..

Ordering 3 of them myself this afternoon for my sleds as well.
