wtf there no "cog" on the shaft to hold a driver in front of the window does that mean extrovert won't be possible on this shaft?
there should still be enough spline there for an after market extrovert. I just put on powder freaks on my 21 Khaos and the extrovert starts 3” from the end of shaft.

I’m thinking the whole, ratcheting, over tightening and driveshaft breakage is a fairly recent development. Maybe enough negative real world feedback to make a change for the upcoming sleds. Was too late to implement for the prototypes. But then there’s the logic of...if you’ve been heavily testing this mofo for a minute, how have you not found this out? Idk. Maybe they “think” they’re riding it hard lol. Heard of some guys with no problems at all. Who knows for sure until they come out or someone in the business fills us in. It’s been four whole days. All things in time. ?

……..
I have some clarification on that pic. That was a 3" track, the extroverts will only be on the 2.75" track.

That’s what is so ridiculous about the 3” track sleds costing $300 more than the 2.75”.

I’m guessing less than 0% of people would choose the 3” option understanding that fully.........

I asked a professional Polaris rider this very question after I had ratcheting problems. How did Polaris not catch this in testing? His reply was their test riders are 60 year old men who obviously aren’t aggressive riders.

What are the chances this lightweight single ply belt embedded in the 2.75 track is not quite stout enough to maintain integral strength? It makes me believe there is stretching and flexing of the belt material that the 2.6" and 3" aren't experiencing.

I’m guessing that is what will be addressed when they say “increased durability for 2022 on the series 8”

All 2022 Series 8 tracked sleds will have drivers like Avids & anti-stab. As well as improved track durability. Polaris knows they screwed up on the 2021’s.

Those don't look like extroverts. They seem to drive the nubs on the track rather than the windows
All tracks are driven by the nubs. Extroverts don't drive the track unless the track is loose and skips over the nubs.
That's not a great explanation but maybe it makes enough sense?
U don't want to drive in the window.

Not sure this new driveshaft/driver combo will be any better at not ratcheting than the old one.
