I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.
A Group Buy here on SnoWestOnline.com would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers.
A promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet.
If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy... as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.
If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.
Also, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.
As ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.

From this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums.
A month maybe month and a half....waiting on some parts to come back from fab...once all the parts are there its just a mater of getting everything put together...once the turbo system is complete and it runs then I have to fit the new plastics and body panels and polish the billet tunnel and all the little things...lol...then it has to go to lamonts custom auto to have the seat made....all in all it should be 100% done by fall with paint and plastics...still haven't decided on what to put on it for graphics?the hood will be black pearl metallic.the belly pan and hood on it now were just used to test fit to make sure everything was going to fit in the right locations...when I get some footage when it fires up I will post for ya's to see...I'm hoping to get some testing on the track dyno with it also but no dates are set for that as of yet...I'm sure it will impress.
My old sled, Lt. Dan, was a 2001 GenII. I painted the hood to look black, but the whole nose area was peeling off to reveal diamond plate underneath. The peel line was done with white smoke. I thought it was pretty cool.

Scott, we had to re engineer the entire rotating and reciprocating assembly. then correct the spark plug threads to fit a spark plug, then correct the domes to not turn when you tried to install or remove the spark plugs. After that was done it was time to begin the build. I was injured at work in november that has stalled this program solid since then. we will be done by sept. just need docs clearance to re enter the shop.
As of just a month ago we had NO crank. It has been delivered and looks fantastic.
cant wait to fire this program off as my personal triple piped turbo sled has been a complete blast. I have not ridden it myself yet, only my friends who assembled it while I was laid up from the surgery to keep my spirits up.
Thank you to FORMDOG and his talents. he finished my sled build, supplied one of his gtx 3582s and that sled hit the ice PERFECT. its only issue was twisting the chassis..lol..
ALL MY TWINS are gone now. the big turbos are just what these triples needed. after seeing my own little 900 triple running 130 mph at 660 feet with just 15 psi boost made me jump ship back to triples.. that thing loves boost. real boost real airflow.Formdog feels like its close to 400 hp. I think more like 340. who knows its just too much fun. and its just a baby 121..
Jasons big billet beauty is getting a forced performance custom 1000 hp turbo. its big its sexy and it will feed this animal what it takes to make damn close to 700 hp at 15 psi.. got them big 50 mm megatrons a crankshop custom 12 lbs flywheel and the msd 7531.. now who can make the doc see how important this is !!!!!!
