:beer;Will a 02-03 800 RMK motor fit into a 98' RMK chassis? have any other suggestions? I think the pipe would become an issue::beer;

The motor will fit easy. One of the coolant lines is little different and the coil system is quit a bit different. Just use the coil off you 700 and remount it on your 800. To get the pipe right just order a pipe for a big bore 700 and the should take care of it.

I have done it a few times. POS pol is correct. A few minor items but it is smooth sailing.

I have seen the stock 700 pipe used on the ves 800 with slp jetting and it worked well they are prety close to the slp single spec for that motor.

I ran a 02 in a 99 700 chassis. The 99 bulkhead is the same as the 98 but has different plastic. I ran the 2000 SLP pipe with a Y pipe off a 01 XC. The 01 XC was a VES motor mounted straight up and down instead of tipped forward. No mods needed to the pipe. SLP said the 800 non VES pipe had the same volumn as the VES 800 and it worked great on mine. I still have the Y pipe if you need it.

use the motor plate out of the 98 and get the intake boots from a 00-01 800 rmk and the pipe is up to you. if you need intake boots pm me I have a couple of sets
