Going sleding tomorrow--Long weekend---Stores are Closed--- Just had a look at my 2010 HCR and am missing a idler wheel?? musta lost it last weekend and diddn't notice-- would there be any probs running it without one for a day?? Thanks for your input:face-icon-small-blu

Lots of guys have run without the lower ones, inside the rail or outside the rail. In fact the outside the rail wheels are pretty much optional out here.

If it's one of those I'd take off the other one and Ride!

If it's an upper big one? Never done it, I'd be careful. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

No its the lower , middle inner. I'm thinking it should be ok but wanted to see if anybody would have issues with it -- Thanks a bunch

I've been running just two wheels at the front of the skid for my last 4 sleds now, no scratchers, no issues. I get about 1300 miles from a set of hifax, but I don't ride any trail heavy spots, and if I do ride trail I pull into pow a lot or stop to kick some chunks into the skid every 5 min or so.

I'd take the opposing one off so that you get even wear, it's not like you'll ever just replace ONE hifax, so you might as well even it up.

If this is one of the front wheels, take your mid wheels off, and put one of them up front to match the one that's there. the mid wheels you can do without, not having fronts will eat through hifax QUICK!

This is how I run mine, only wheels I have are on my front shock shaft.

You took off the outer front and inner middle with no probs--I lost the other inner yesterday and dont think I'll replace it if its not really needed. But cant figure out why they would fall off? the bearing houseing was still on the bolt but everything else was gone?-- only 1300 miles on the sled--Cheers:face-icon-small-con
