It's also interesting how much weight many give to a group 'ANTIFA" (Anti-Fascists) simply because a person, a "Mainstream" disinformer... POTUS-DJT and his tweet-tirades persist to rile you up... or to put all protesters under the umbrella of "ANTIFA".... and just where "facts" come from... OAN? Epoch-Times? or other extremist media ... I give them as much weight as I do the Left extreme media.

I get it... it's easy when they (the media) are so good at pandering to you.... FoxNews does it, CNN does it, WaPost, LAtimes, etc etc....

But most people simply want to "feel good" or "feel right" about the position that they have because it makes them feel good, or vindicated or supports the cultural/social values that they have learned (valid or not) since they were kids based on exposure, status or experiences within their own sphere of 'reality'. It's just so darn easy to drink our own favorite kool-aide.... but this... THIS is what is tearing our country apart IMO.

So we seek out that information/dis-information that reinforces our tendencies or desired beliefs based on decades old programing and lazieness to learn from outside our own "spheres of reality"

Disinformation isn't the the sole-possession of "Nutty Liberal" people "Alt Right" people.... both sides are equally panering or sometimes spreading outright lies... either direct, by omission or "suggestion" to people who subscribe to that outlet. I see this as laziness.

What our past republican President, General of WWII, POTUS Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about is exactly what is happening.... the proliferation of power and influence AGAINST the American people wrapped up an extravaganza of pandering by the media controlled by the "Military Industrial Complex" ... not conspiracy theory.... and not Liberal vs. Conservative... though that is what we are being spoon-fed by those 'news outlets' and social media meeting their own needs.

I've heard so many comments similar to:
"I hate my neighbors over here... they are {liberals/conservatives} and I HATE {liberals/conservatives}.... otherwise they are decent people... why are they so stupid?" ..... REALLY??

This is so spot on. We have a multitude of posts/memes/opinions in this thread that blatantly show these mechanisms at work.

That is one area where I give pres DJT credit (in a terrifying way).... he has successfully exploited all of these American traits as tools to win his bid. Americans like celebrities - check. Like drama - check. Like to be part of a team/group/side - check. Like a guy who sticks it to the other team/group/side - check. "Divide and conquer" was a winning strategy for his presidential bid, and it's impressive in its own way that he pulled it off. Only side affect is that's it's turned the country into a smoldering heap where everyone hates the other "teams," and can't get together for the greater good. Them's the breaks.

America is doing way better than what the liberal media has to say, but when I watched tv in Canada on my work overnights I can see how the fools are being fooled by the polarization. Don't get me started on Egyptian TV.....

Blah blah same old slapped out “you’re a liberal because I’m a conservative and you don’t agree with me” stuff over and over and over again. Strangely enough I’m actually pretty conservative on many topics, but that’s beside the point. I haven’t had Cable/watched TV in years....I stopped BECAUSE it’s polarizing, depressing, jilted crap....you’ve got the wrong guy. If you can’t see politics and social issues beyond a team sport blue or red Chevy or Ford then there’s really nothing to talk about.
